Catriel Nievas is an Argentinian composer, guitarist, performer and teacher. His musical and sonic interests lie in the creation of atmospheres and the repetition of simple melodies, chords and ghostly sonorities, using samples and transfigured references in search of the sensations they evoke. He regularly collaborates with local and international musicians and has performed live in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Switzerland and France.

Dunyon is a collage of ambiguous environments, both chaotic, hostile and primitive, as well as desolate, serene and introspective. The sounds of cumbia villera and Brazilian funk inhabit the core of this scenario, reappropriated through a dense fog of dungeon synth, dark ambient and drone.

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
