Rolezinhos is an electronic project based in Buenos Aires (AR) that oscillates between IDM, ambient and minimalism through the combination of electronic and acoustic sounds.

ASR is his second EP and takes its name from the Ensoniq ASR10 used on most of the record. Loaded with sounds from floppy disks, this 90s sampler comes back into the artist's life after many years and inspires the creation of these tracks, filling it with samples of cans, wood and bones that expand the sonic palette beyond electronic, echoing other genres such as krautrock in 'Lo Ru' or fuzzy, abstract jazz in 'Ch xRan'. The compositions are full of Euclidean rhythms, microtonalities and a dialogue between synthetic and acoustic textures. It is structured as an energy-driven narrative rather than a succession of sections, moving through layers of intensity as if staying in the same place but in constant motion. It can be experienced as a way of exploring movement in stillness.

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
